How to document your build so it's useful

1. Variant and year. Exact model (e.g. T1x MTR .22 LR 16in), barrel length and thread pitch.
2. Parts list with totals. Build it in the planner and paste the plain-text list. Note anything you fitted or modified.
3. Installation notes. The torque values you used (from the maker's instructions) and any fitting work. See the gunsmithing guide.
4. Results, honestly. If you share groups, give the distance, ammo and lot, number of shots and groups, and the rest you used. One great group proves little.
5. What didn't work. Fit problems and returns are the most useful thing other owners can read. Check our known issues first.

Photographing your rifle

• Shoot in diffuse daylight against a plain background. Take a full right side and left side, then close-ups of the rail and rings, trigger, bottom metal and muzzle.
• Hide or crop the serial number, and anything identifying in the background (house numbers, plates, documents).
• Only submit photos you took yourself. Product photos from retailers or makers are copyrighted.
• Photos must show an actual Tikka T1x (that's our image rule).
