Left-handed 457 guide
The short answer
Yes, the CZ 457 Varmint LH is a true left-hand action. Handed parts include the chassis, rails, triggers and bolt handles. Magazines, barrels and most scope rings don't care which hand you shoot.

| Category | What we verified |
|---|---|
| Chassis | MDT ORYX Left Handed ($449.99) lists a CZ 457 inlet (conf: high). XLR Element 4.0 is ambidextrous and supports the CZ 457 (maker; long lead times). Manners offers LH as an option on its CZ-457 stock. |
| Triggers | Timney CZ 457 is offered in left hand (CZ457LH curved / CZ457LHST straight; adjustable 10 oz-2 lb). JARD CZ 457 is listed as RH/LH. |
| Rails | EGW HD CZ 457 rail: LH option with a 4-6 week lead time. The 11 mm dovetail itself is handedness-neutral, so dovetail rings fit either. |
| Bolt handles | CZ OEM LH bolt handle ($67 at CZ-USA shop) is the official part. Many aftermarket knobs thread onto the factory handle; check the thread spec on the knob listing. |
Tips for lefties
- An RH action fired left-handed works, but you have to break your cheek weld to cycle it. Buy a true LH rifle if you shoot a lot of prone matches.
- Before you buy any part, confirm it is marked LH. Rails, chassis inlets and handles are mirror-image parts.
- Ambidextrous chassis (XLR) and ARCA/M-LOK accessories avoid most handedness issues.
